EAST Hampshire Conservative's parliamentary hopeful Damian Hinds has moved to Alton.
Mr Hinds will be joined by his fiancee Jacqui, a former pupil of Alton Convent School, after their wedding next month.
The couple have settled on a house close to the town centre, near the High Street, after a four month search for their new home.
Previously he had been living in London while carrying out the search.
Mr Hinds said: “We are very excited about moving to Alton.
“It’s a great town with excellent schools and the perfect combination of the traditional and the modern, from the beauty of the old Market Square and Town Hall to the new Marks and Spencer.”
Mr Hinds replaces current East Hampshire MP Michael Mates, who is standing down at the next general election, as the Conservative candidate for the East Hampshire seat.
