AN old fashioned cricket tournament will be held in Alton on Sunday from 10am.
Once again the spectacle of nine local teams competing for the Bushy Leaze Trophy can be seen on The Butts.
This charity contest sees men and women dress up and compete in a cricket match played with authentic bat, ball and stumps.
This year all monies raised will go to Bushy Leaze, the primary school in Alton for children with special needs.
The money raised will help to fund the soft play area in the school.
There will also be side shows, stalls, children’s rides and a bouncy castle as well as various food and drinks stalls.
Live music from Alton College is also being organised in the grounds of The French Horn pub.
Raffle tickets will be on sale on the day. This year the first prize will be 500 guineas.
