TWO TEENAGERS were taken to hospital last night following a high-speed crash on a Horndean road.
Emergency services were called to Catherington Lane around 11.30pm after a stolen Nissan Primera left the road and crashed into a tree near the Briarsfields Garden layby.
Witnesses told the Post that the vehicle – which was stolen from the Thames Valley area on February 20 – was doing around “85 to 90mph” seconds before the crash.
Two males, both 18 and from Fareham and Oxfordshire, respectively, managed to escape but were taken by ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital after suffering a variety of injuries.
Fire crews from Horndean and Waterlooville were also deployed to make the area and vehicle safe.
Police have begun an investigation but have urged any witnesses or anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the minutes before the crash to contact 101 quoting 44170083827.
