Liphook Golf Club raise funds for charity

By Post in Golf

A LOCAL charity, the Melanie Braysher Trust, was the joint captains’ charity last year at Liphook Golf Club.

The trust aims to provide “independence through mobility” for young disabled people and children, through specially adapted equipment, for instance motorised scooters, electric wheelchairs, specialised pushchairs and buggies.

Any disabled child or young person living in or around Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire can apply to the trust and will have their application assessed to see to what extent the trust is able to help.

The golf club raised a total of £10,160 during the year and a cheque was presented to the chairman of the trust for £8,476, as this was the balance which was made up of direct donations.
