MEMBERS of the Phoenix Youth Theatre in Bordon will play a starring role at the public eco-town meeting on July 24.
A creative workshop involving the youngsters was captured on camera by East Hampshire District Council and will be shown as part of a film about Whitehill and Bordon’s eco-town bid, which residents will watch before the meeting starts.

At the workshop, the budding young actors and actresses were asked to brainstorm ideas about what they thought eco-town life would be like in 20 years’ time.

They then made up some dramatic improvisations on the subject.

Phoenix director Jane Dawes said: “We were delighted to be asked by EHDC to help with this project.

“It is important to get the viewpoint of young people as, after all, they will be the ones who will be most affected by the future plans for Whitehill and Bordon.”

The film is also being shown to government officials in London.
