Alice Holt Forest, which has just been confirmed as being part of the new South Downs National Park, is celebrating with some festive activities this December.
Christmas trees will be on sale in the car park from Saturday, December 5, and adults can try their hand at making their own festive decorations in the workshops on December 2 and 3.

There are also Babes in the Woods and Little Explorer special Ch
ristmas sessions for children from 14 months up to four years old on December 8, 9 and 10.

Toddlers and pre-schoolers can join the education team for a short winter walk in the woods.

They also can make beeswax candles, pine cone bird feeders or wooden Christmas tree decorations and join in with songs and festive stories and games.

Running from December 5 to 23, there is a Christmas trail for the children's holidays, with clue sheets from the cafe and prizes available for all completed entries.

Prices range from £9 per child for the Babes in the Wood and Little Explorers Christmas Specials to £18 for adult craft workshops, and include refreshments and a gift for the children.

For further information on Christmas activities or to book, call the Forestry Commission at Alice Holt 0n 01420 23666 or visit www.forestry.gov.uk/aliceholt. Advance booking is essential for all activities.
