The Phoenix Arts Centre in Station Road, Bordon, is running more adult learning courses in creative arts for the spring term in 2010.
Courses are at The Phoenix, Mill Chase Community College, Bordon Junior School and the Forest Community Centre.

The courses teach core skills and give a good grounding to develop favourite areas further.

For the spring term, subjects include ta
p dancing, salsa, art, jewellery making, introduction to silk painting, ceramics and pottery, guitar, introduction to Photoshop and digital photography for beginners.

In addition, the Phoenix will be continuing to run the Community Choir. This is for anyone who wants to sing but maybe does not have the confidence to sing on their own. No auditions are necessary and there is no music to read.

Term starts on January 11 for 10 weeks, with a half-term break. Some courses run for five weeks.

Phoenix director Jane Dawes said: "We wanted to offer people in Bordon the chance to get out and do something locally, and give them an opportunity to be creative and learn new skills at the same time.

"The response last term was great and we have introduced three new courses for the spring – Introduction to Silk Painting; Jewellery Making and Introduction to Photoshop."

Most of the courses are supported by Hampshire Learning.

Discounts are given for early booking (by December 18), and to members of the Woolomer Forest U3A and Barbados House Association.

Anyone interested in further information should contact Jane Dawes or Gabrielle Ring 01420 472664, or e-mail info@phoenixarts.co.uk
