A pensioner gave chase to a robber after he was threatened with a knife at a cashpoint in Bordon.
The 65 year old was thrown off as the robber's car drove away, but wasn't hurt.

It happened as the victim was using the cashpoint outside Lloyds TSB in Camp Road at about 1.30pm on Thursday, December 17.

A man came up to him and held a stanley knife to his throat.

He took £80 in cash, plus credit cards, before jumping into a silver Honda Civic and trying to escape.

The victim ran after him and leapt onto the bonnet of the car, but fell off as the robber drove away.

He wasn't hurt, but left very shaken.

The robber's described as white, 5 foot 2, slight and in his late 20s with a ginger stubble beard.

Detective Sergeant Alan John, from Alton CID, said: "It is likely there were many people around at the time who saw this incident occurring, and possibly thought it was a road traffic collision.

"Anyone who saw what happened, or has information about who is responsible, should contact Alton CID as soon as possible."

Anyone with any information should contact Alton CID on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
