Members of Rowlands Castle WI flocked to their first meeting after the summer break.
Outings and walks had been well supported and the musical evening with Kaleidoscope and supper raised £680 and a cheque for £1,477 was presented to The Rosemary Foundation.
The ‘Big Tidy Up’ was well supported and 13 bags of litter removed. The meeting’s speaker was Steve Jordan, a radio broadcaster and singer who shared with the group the poetry and song of Hampshire’s history.
The evening ended with a complete surprise: a beautifully sung vote of thanks by Pat Law. Mr Jordan said he had never received sung thanks before.
