Petersfield Philatelic Society: The society has experienced a year of mixed emotions with the passing during the summer of two active and prominent members and, in contrast, a range of interesting talks and displays.
The club's well known March auction has been organised for many years by George 'Jock' Turner, but his passing gave the committee a huge void to fill.

After consideration it has been agreed to hold another auction next March with a willing volunteer as auction secretary, Ron Wood.

A former chairman of the club, John Hagenbuch, also passed away in the summer after a long illness.

He was well known for his collection of German South West Africa stamps and he was also a member of the German and Colonies Society.

Club meetings have been enlivened with class displays by Keith Elliott (Malayan Air Mails), Christine Earle ('The Post Office Goes to War') and Hugh Jefferies ('Philatelic Terms Illustrated').

Visitors from Farnham and District and Fleet and North Hants have also entertained with exhibits of interest.

Average attendance at meetings is still above 20 members. Visitors to the monthly meeting on the first Monday each month at Petersfield Community Centre would be very welcome.
