At this year's Queen Elizabeth Country Park Show on July 11 and 12, you can see dancing sheep.
The hilarous and educational 'Sheep Show' will be making a welcome return to the event this year.

In this live stage show the New Zealand team of presenters educate and entertain with nine different breeds of sheep.

You can learn how wool fro
m the sheep's back becomes a jumper to wear, watch a sheep-shearing demonstration and of course the highlight of the show, the chance to witness the famous 'Sheep Show Hustle'.

The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 from 10am to 5.30pm with regular Sheep Shows throughout the day as well as a host of other attractions. Details at www.woodlandcrafts.co.uk or telephone 01243 641306.

The Queen Elizabeth Country Park Show is a traditional country show held in the shadow of Butser Hill, celebrating the countryside, traditions and crafts of the South Downs and beyond.

In the arena will be duck and sheep dog trials with audience participation, falconry displays , expert dog agility and more.

Around the showground you can test your skills on the radio- controlled car track, the archery or the laser shooting.

You can watch traditional farm machinery and coppice craftsmen at work; visit the 'make and take' areas.; listen to the Plonkers music and strolling jazz band the Sussex Stompers; and buy from the many varied trade, craft and speciality food stands.

Younger visitors can enjoy children's rides and amusements, juggling workshops, Punch & Judy, and the 'Cuddle-me-do' Farm or have a ride on a miniature steam train or a donkey ride.

Other highlights this year include heavy horses, blacksmith, laser combat games, a model boat pond, vintage farm machinery working, traditional country craft demonstrations, ferret racing and the Spider Show.

Admission costs: £7.50 adults, £6.50 seniors, £4 children aged 4-14, and under fours are free. There will be plenty of free parking.

Queen Elizabeth Country Park is just off the A3 between Horndean and Petersfield.
