A new conductor is being sought for a village band which provides music at many local events.
Liss Band is a familiar sight at fairs and parades all over the district.
Buts its long serving conductor, Mike Pennicotte-Henrie, is stepping down due to work commitments - and a replacement must be found before next summer.
Band chairman Ashley Kemp said: "Mike originally announced that he would be leaving next July, and gave us a year's notice of his decision, but his work and family commitments mean that he would like to make it earlier than that if possible.
"Ideally, we would like to find someone who could play in the band and also learn about conducting while Mike is still here.
