A BUDDING young chef from a Langrish Hotel has proved he can make meals fit for a Queen with a two week stint in the kitchens at Buckingham Palace.
Jason Bellord, commis chef at Langrish House, has completed a fortnight’s work experience in the Royal Household.

After rigorous security checks he was chosen to assist the palace chefs in the day-to-day running of the household’s kitchens.

He stayed in the Royal Mews attached to the palace during his time there, and was part of the team cooking for the state dinner held in honour of the King of Saudi Arabia.

He also assisted in the preparation of meals for members of the Royal family, including the Queen.

On arrival in the palace kitchens the first job he was given was to prepare rabbit meat for the corgis.

It was no trivial task, however, and he was given very detailed instructions as to the size the chunks of meat should be.

Jason (pictured above) said: “It was a great experience but I still love Langrish House.”
