Efforts are not missed

The growers of Sheet gathered for their summer show on Saturday – and their efforts attracted plenty of admiration.
“There was quite a crowd – and it’s always nice to see people coming along to have a look, even if they are not entering the show themselves,” said Sheet Horticultural Society chairman Arthur Liddiard.
“I think it was a pretty successful show, even though it’s been a difficult year weatherwise. The number of entries was about the same as last year.”
The society continues to thrive, but is in urgent need of a treasurer. Anyone interested in taking on the post should contact Mr Liddiard on 01730 894683.
