Have you been away with the fairies? People who believed these dainty beings only lived at the bottom of the garden had a magical surprise when fairies manifested themselves on Petersfield Heath.
The World Fairy Festival proved to be an enchanting mix of events, stalls and workshops – all based around vital environmental issues.

Organised by Kay and Alan Clover from Eternal Light in Chapel Street, Petersfield and Jill Din, the event raised more than £450 for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, which provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

Raffle prizes were donated by local and national businesses and visitors travelled from as far as north London to experience the magical atmosphere.

A delighted Kay said: "We had unbelievable support from the Friends of Petersfield Heath, along with Peter Jones from the town council.

"I would particularly like to thank the volunteers who helped us. More than 100 volunteers were there – and we couldn't have put on the festival without them."
