TICKETS are still available for a charity fashion show taking place at The STUDIO@TPS on Friday, June 26.
The venue is hosting a 'Fab and Funky Fashion Show' on behalf of Cancer Research UK, where a clothes sale will be held afterwards to raise money for the cause.

The bash has been organised by the Cancer Research UK charity shop, which is based in the High Street.

Georgia Graham and Abi Knee, both in Year 9 at TPS, will be modelling clothes for the fashion show. Georgia said: "It just seemed like really good fun.

"Cancer is such a big problem and we wanted to do what we can to help."

Abi said: "We handed out leaflets in town last week, and people were amazed that the clothes we were wearing were from a charity shop.

"We were surprised, too, at what you can find.

"I am definitely going to bid for the outfits!

"When we were choosing clothes from the shop, I found a top and bought it.

"People should go to charity shops more – it's silly that there's such a stigma attached to wearing secondhand clothes. There's some really good stuff."

Georgia added: "The ladies in the shop were really helpful – they had got some stuff together for us – but we had loads of fun rummaging!

"We were almost fighting over the dresses!

"People don't have a lot of money nowadays, so it makes sense to find bargains if you can."

The girls agreed that if secondhand clothes are good enough for Gok, they're good enough for them, and that by altering and enhancing clothes, they could create a totally individual look for a fraction of the designer prices.

As well as the catwalk show, there will be a bar and a raffle. The evening starts at 7pm.

Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased from the Cancer Research shop or from Studio@TPS.
