Portsmouth manager Harry Red-knapp was the star of the show when he officially opened a new sports hall at Ditcham Park School.
Pupils gathered to see the Premier League club's boss unveil The Martin Pryce Building at the school near Petersfield.
The hall was named in memory of former teacher Martin Pryce, who died last year. He had inspired many pupils with his love of sport.
His widow Penny, children Jonny and Katie, mum Janice, sister Alison and brother-in-law Gavin were present to see the building dedicated to Martin, along with close friends who had supported him when he was ill.
Headteacher Kathryn Morton said: "I am proud and delighted to witness the opening of this magnificent building which will greatly enhance the school's facilities and provide a lasting memorial to an inspirational teacher."
