THE DAUGHTER of popular Petersfield art supporter Roger Tallon, who died last year, has completed a ten-mile run in his memory.
Katie Tallon (18) completed the run, from her home in Liss Forest to Petersfield and back again, with her partner John Haile and her dog Flin, on the first anniversary of her father’s death.

“It took me just over three hours, with a short stop to have an ice cream at The Heath of course!” she said. “I’m so grateful to everybody who sponsored me, a big thank you to all who knew my Dad.”

She has raised more than £250 which will go towards the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Farnham, where Mr Tallon died and toward planting a tree in Greatham, where he was born. “His ashes were scattered in the sea so we just wanted somewhere to visit and lay flowers,” she said.
