VEHICLES ranging from the vintage to the outrageous were forced into action at The Petersfield School's leavers' prom last week.
The town's 16-year-old school leavers signed off from The Petersfield School with a flourish as they dressed in their best and strove to outdo each other's flambouyant choice of transport.

A fleet of Vespas, plumed horses and carriage, a US Army lorry, a tractor and even a helicopter arrived at the Tithe Barn at Ditcham last Thursday evening for the big, black tie party.

Everyone dressed up for the occasion and, luckily for the expensively coiffeured hair-dos, the rain held off.

The students enjoyed a meal and danced the night away to a local band of ex-pupils.

Headteacher Nigel Poole paid tribute to the latest crop of students to be produced by TPS.

"As usual we were incredibly proud of our leavers – their dress and their behaviour were exemplary, and proved what fine adults they are becoming," he said.
