The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon is screening The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry on August 23 at 7.30pm.
Pensioner Harold Fry (Jim Broadbent) lives in Kingsbridge with his wife Maureen (Penelope Wilton), whose marriage to him has become despondent and quiet.
One day he receives a letter from his old friend Queenie Hennessy (Linda Bassett), who is dying from cancer and living in a hospice in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Harold decides to walk the length of England to reach Berwick, meeting people who show interest in his hike and thinking about his only son David (Earl Cave).
