A FORMER Ministry of Defence UFO investigator has added to speculation about glowing orbs seen manouvering silently through the night sky over East Hampshire earlier this month

Nick Pope, who has worked on the declassifying and release of the MoD’s UFO files as well as with Hollywood film makers as an advisor, says Hampshire has had its share of alleged sightings in recent years.

Speaking from Tucson, Arizona, he said: “This sighting over Petersfield and Bordon sounds fascinating. It could be attributable to military training of some sort, though the lack of noise makes this less likely.

“The MoD axed its UFO project in 2009 as a result of cuts, but until then, UK sightings were on the increase.

“In 2009 the MoD was notified of 643 sightings, and we received plenty of reports from Hampshire and the south east generally.” For information about alleged sightings and MoD UFO statistics visit www.nickpope.net
