Ho, ho, no! Sightings of UFOs in our skies

Strange lights have been spotted in the skies above East Hampshire during December.

FAST moving glowing orbs in the night sky above Petersfield, Bordon and Liphook have intrigued UFO experts and could signal the supposed end of the world, predicted for Friday.

The two globes appeared to be carrying out high speed manoeuvres north of Petersfield between 9pm and 10.15pm on consecutive nights over the weekend of Saturday, December 8, said witnesses.

Joe Murray of Bordon said on the uk.ufo.co.uk website: “I was walking home when I noticed two lights above the clouds. They seemed to be staying in the same part of the sky. There were no beams of light coming from the ground and neither was there any engine noise.”

Maureen posted on the Liphook Community website: “Amazed no one has commented on these. Second night running we have seen them.”

In Petersfield eyewitnesses said the globes chased each other noiselessly above the
low cloud in repeating patterns, using such tight turns and
at such speeds “they couldn’t have been planes or helicopters.”

UFO investigator Kenneth Parsons from Farnborough leads a team dedicated to proving the authenticity, or otherwise, of reported UFOs.

The chairman of British Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society said: “There seems to be an increasing trend of sightings last year and this year, and Hampshire has had its fair share.”

The night light mystery comes as debate intensifies over a stone calendar carved by craftsmen of the highly advanced Mayan civilisation, whose influence across parts of South America began about 2,000BC. The lone surviving tablet appears to predict a major shift for life on earth. Some experts insist it means the end of one calendar cycle, with a new one to begin, while others claim it predicts the end of the world on Friday.

Some end-of-timers also say the event will be heralded by phenomena such as unexplained lights, shooting stars and meteor showers.

Governments, including the American, Russian and Chinese authorities, and scientific bodies, such as NASA, have said there is no reason to think Friday, December 21 will be different to any other Friday.
