Liss pensioner in rolled car crash

A HAMPSHIRE air ambulance landed in Liss after an 84-year-old pensioner rolled her car while  driving on Station Road in Liss toward the village centre last week.

Emergency services were also called to the scene, almost opposite the Madhuban Indian restaurant.

A witness said: “The car rolled into a hedge opposite the restaurant.”

The air ambulance landed in West Liss recreation ground near the crash, but wasn’t needed.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.10am on Wednesday, January 30, after a Vauxhall Meriva overturned and the driver, a Liss woman, suffered minor injuries and was helped from the car.”

The road remained closed until lunchtime.
