Read winner Wild about his Big trip to Marwell

A PETERSFIELD youngster enjoyed a wild time after winning a library led competition.

The colouring competition was for all children who read six books during the summer’s Big Wild Read.

At the end of the summer a prize draw was held by competition organisers Petersfield Library, in The Square.

The winner was Henry Dodds, who was awarded a free family pass, worth 46, to Marwell Zoo. Henry’s entry will now go forward to a grand draw to win an animal adoption of a golden lion tamarin from Marwell, complete with a certificate.

Brenda Pullen, children’s librarian, said the reading scheme was a big success.

“The Big Wild Read went extremely well at Petersfield with 503 children reading six books and gaining a medal and certificate,” she said.
