Restaurant building ‘won’t stay empty long’
A RECENTLY closed Petersfield bar and restaurant just off The Square is unlikely to stay empty for long, say agents Fleurets.
The former Fusion Bar One opposite the police station in St Peter’s Road closed in the autumn and has since been redecorated and revamped before being put back on the market.
Fleurets say there has already been interest from potential leaseholders, and an unaccepted verbal offer has been made.
Kate Dowd is handling the property and said: “There has been a good amount of interest. The owners want it to be used primarily as a food operation, rather than a bar.
“Petersfield is a popular, affluent, town and this outlet is ideal for someone who knows the trade and the area.
“It’s unlikely to stay empty long.”
The 20-year lease, free of all ties, has a guide price of £30,000 with a guide rent of £39,000 a year. Upstairs accommodation may also be available.
The previous leaseholders left saying they couldn’t make it pay, citing high business rates as the main reason.
