Riverside is place to be this Sunday for launch

A VITAL link in a new long distance path for walkers and cyclists will be officially opened in Liss this Sunday, March 24.

East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds will do the honours at the Riverside Railway Walk nature reserve at 10am.

Visitors will be able to chat to people who have been involved in creating the Shipwrights Way, which runs from Alice Holt Forest to Portsmouth historic dockyard.

Sponsored walkers will also be raising money for the Buriton-based Village to Village charity, which supports a rural community in Africa. Sponsorship forms are available from www.buriton.info/dominase.

An information fair at the southern end of the Riverside Railway walk, near Liss station, will include a display of photos taken along the Shipwrights Way, and cyclists will be able to get expert advice on repairs and maintenance.
