Petersfield Pumas 2

YORKTOWN started strongly, firing several shots just wide.

The Pumas responded well, with a Toby Wallace free-kick turned into the Yorktown net by Kayne Anderson. More Puma pressure produced some brilliant saves by the York
town keeper.

Yorktown levelled with a well hit long-range goal after 20 minutes and went into the lead from a high shot four minutes later.

In the second half the scores were levelled when Anderson bagged his second with a clever shot on the turn.

Pumas' keeper Conor Whitcomb denied Yorktown with a great reflex save in the last minute.

Petersfield: Whitcomb, Nolan, Hall, Butcher, Anderson, Baker, Mancz, Wallace, O'Shea.

Hartley Wintney U-9 1 Petersfield Jaguars 6

PETERSFIELD were flattered by the final score after a hesitant performance against Hartley Wintney.

Jaguars eventually scored when Hewitt made a strong run from midfield and passed to Richards to finish. Hewitt scored again after a breakout from defence, running the length of the pitch.

Hartley Wintney eventually got some reward with a shot deflected into the goal and came close to scoring another from a free-kick on the edge of the box.

In the second half Harry Tollworthy scored after a pass from Richards and then grabbed a second from a corner taken by Corn.

Hewitt then scored almost straight from the restart with a shot from distance. Orr dived bravely at the feet of the Hartley Wintney centre-forward to stop a certain goal. Orr's goal kick sent Hewitt through to score his hat-trick.

Petersfield: Orr, Howes, M Tollworthy, Corn, Fry, Coghill, Hewitt, H Tollworthy, Wands, Richards.

Darby Green U-9 3

Petersfield Pumas C 7

A LIVELY start from Pumas kept Darby Green busy with an array of passes from Knight, Coates and Hill allowing James to open the scoring for Pumas.

Balogun's right-wing crosses secured dominance for Pumas, allowing James a second goal, and a Coates curling free-kick put Pumas 3-0 ahead.

Darby Green scored on the break after valiant efforts from Pumas defenders Bleach, Zaigirdar and keeper Hood.

In the second-half midfielder James added to his tally with three further goals.

Darby Green scored again on the break only for Bleach to respond with his first of the season. A late third goal from Darby Green concluded the scoring.

Petersfield: Hood, Balogun, James, Bleach, Coates, Knight, Zaigirdar; subs: Rahman, Lawrence, Hill.

Yateley U-9 0

Liss Firebolts 4

A SUPERB hat-trick from Seb Kay, playing his first match of the season, helped Liss take the points against a well-organised Yateley side.

Paul and Albery in the Liss midfield provided opportunities, and Blackman rounded off the scoring with a powerful shot.

The win ensures an early promotion for Liss who move up a division for the remainder of the season.

Liss: Albery, Blackman, Burney, Cains, Davies, Kay, Krauze, Paul, Starling, Titley.
