A TEAM of youth footballers from China are appearing in Petersfield on Saturday to play a match ahead of next month's Beijing Olympics.
China Now under-13s will arrive at Love Lane, home of Petersfield Town FC, to take on a Portsmouth FC Elite Community Coaching programme side.
The visitors have flown over from Beijing to take part in a national tour of the UK, which includes visits to Old Trafford, Wembley Stadium, Fratton Park, Celtic Park and Hampden Park.
During the tour the Chinese boys are taking part in games against English youth sides to celebrate Chinese culture.
The Chinese squad was selected from a field of 1,200 Beijingers after trials for the team.
No team sports are included in P.E lessons at Chinese schools, so the China Now team was created to encourage youngsters to learn more about the game.
Kick off starts at 12 noon.
