CHURCHER'S beat King Edwards Witley convincingly 5-0 in midweek but then lost an exciting weekend encounter with Seaford College 5-3.
With captain Abby Lewis returning after nearly a year out with back surgery, Churcher's look dangerous again and the Surrey girls had no answer to the driving runs of right wing Sian Donovan, in particular.

Goals were scored by Donovan, Becky Smith, Catie Jarman, Ellie Kehoe and Lewis.

In Saturday's match Petersfield found themselves up against a competitive Sussex side with its high calibre German import dominating the early play, with Churcher's girls trailing 5-0.

Fortunately, Lewis and defender Rosie Rowsell led a spirited revival and Churcher's fought back to 5-3 and missed a number of clear-cut chances towards the end to level. Churcher's goals came from Smith, Kehoe and Donovan.
