HARTING took first use of the wicket but had an early setback when Simon Kyte was dismissed for a duck. Robert Norris and Colin Pay added 40, Pay doing the bulk of the scoring before being caught for 26.
Norris went one run later but skipper Craig
Edwards and Terry Wadey laid the foundation for a large total with Edwards not having to run too much as he peppered the boundary with a succession of fours and sixes. This pair added 61 before Wadey was trapped leg before for 25.
Edwards duly completed his half century and he and Kelvin Finch featured in a bright partnership of 52 before Edwards was bowled for 74, which included two sixes and 13 fours. Finch found useful partners in Andy Wadey and Russell Kyte and finished undefeated on 43 before Harting declared after 45 overs on 213-8.
Khuley set about the Harting bowling with Kyte coming in for some harsh treatment as the batsman struck five fours and a six to race to 31 before Edwards trapped him leg before.
Then Andy Wadey and Edwards put a brake on the run rate and wickets began to tumble. Wadey took two wickets in an over, and then Finch proceeded to bowl four maidens on the trot and take three wickets in his 11-over spell.
Terry Wadey had Murphy stumped and he and his brother wrapped up the innings, Terry catching Boxall off Andy's bowling to give Harting victory by 116 runs and ten points.
Andy Wadey took 4-14, Finch 3-13 and Edwards 2-26 off 14 overs.
