Hawks are flying with their double
Horndean Hawks under-nines have done the double.
They added the Portsmouth Glass Challenge Cup to their league triumph following a dramatic 2-0 win against Portsmouth Chimes at Brune Park School in Gosport.
The Hawks won the final with second half goals by Joe Kirby and Sam Hoolihan.
The victory followed recent success in winning the A division of the Portsmouth Youth Football League by six points from their nearest rivals.
Manager Simon Howell said: “We are delighted with the results we have had this season in winning the double in what is our first season in competitive football.
“Winning both the top league and the cup in any age group is not an easy achievement.”
