HEADLEY'S roller coaster league season hit a big dip this week. The Yellow Team at home to Four Marks, one of a number of teams in contention for honours, could take only one of the five points in a 51-45 defeat.
Playing with much rearranged triples due to holiday commitments, only John Robinault's three gelled sufficiently to gain a winning point. David Weston's trio played together well but were only able to get within three shots of the opposition.

Hennessy, in as reserve skip, was unable to hold a strong Four Marks triple and went down by six shots. Headley will be hoping to re-ignite their league challenge away against Rogate A this week.

For the Green Team, the evening was an even greater disaster. Playing at Haslemere, though two triples were only narrowly beaten, they could not avoid conceding a clean sweep.

Headley's week of misery was compounded on Saturday when they went down 54-50 against Rowledge. Despite winning one rink, and drawing on a second, the final overall shot total gave the match to their opponents.

l STEDHAM bowler Peter Bennett has been chosen for Sussex against London Irish at Horsham tomorrow.
