Petersfield under-nines played Purbrook and having previously lost at Purbrook, Petersfield were seeking victory in this rematch.
Petersfield lost the toss and fielded first. Many good runs were clocked up by Purbrook batsmen but wickets from Alfie Casson, Will Milner, Max Hendrick and Matt Friend saw Petersfield limit Purbrook to 237 runs at the end of the first innings.

Petersfield lost only a few wickets to the talented Purbrook bowlers and fours were scored by Matt Friend, Hector Pocock and Cameron Portieus. Ben Turk hit three fours.

After a tense second innings Petersfield managed to clock a winning score of 254. The under-nines were ecstatic as this was their first ever win as a team.

Coach Nikki Evans said: "I hope this can be the start of a winning streak for the team."

Petersfield's under-13A team travelled to top of the table Hambledon B and returned home victorious.

After Hambledon were put in, their openers Atkinson and Butcher scored quickly on the dry, fast outfield.

At the halfway stage they were 68 without loss, with both batsmen retiring on 30no. Petersfield recovered their composure and restricted Hambledon to 122-4 off their 20 overs.

A positive start from opening batsmen Benjamin Friend (30no) and Jordan Hiscock (33no) allowed Petersfield to reach 68 without loss after 10 overs.

Lomas (4no) and North (21no) saw Petersfield home with one ball to spare.
