HASLEMERE Masters brought home a superb medal haul with 12 golds, two silvers and one bronze from the recent Surrey Masters Gala. Haslemere competed against some of Surrey's finest clubs in the event held over two weekends in June and July at the Herons.
In the 50-55 age group, Jane Hoy achieved three golds in 50m breaststroke and freestyle and 100m breaststroke, and silver in 100m freestyle. Jane was also awarded the Victor Ludorum cup for gaining the most medals and points in her age group.

Janice White gained gold in the 50m backstroke (50-54) and Jeannette Bolt (40-44 age group) in 50m and 100m breastroke, both of whom have children who swim for the club.

Haslemere’s younger swimmers, Helen Shore (25-29) received gold in the 50m and 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle and an additional gold medal for 100m backcrawl. Stuart Godfrey brought in the gold for 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly.

Newcomer to Haslemere Masters, Stuart Farthing, in his first competitive gala, achieved silver and bronze for the 100m and 50m freestyle in the 40-44 age category.

Haslemere Masters is open to all swimmers with above average swimming ability aged from 18 upwards. Further details on www.haslemereswimmingclub.co.uk
