THE WEATHER for the Grayshott fun six-a-sides was damp in places but the cricket was surprisingly good, given that most of the six sides entered had rarely played before or, if they had, it had been a long time ago.
The six sides made up from sponsors and supporters of the club included Grayshott Firefighters, Buy in Grayshott (BIG), Grayshott Ladies Fire crew, Grayshott Ladies, a young side who substituted for the Fox and Pelican, and Grayshott Social Club.

The day was well supported by friends and families.

Two of the sides were predominently ladies who were among the fittest in action.

Grayshott Social Club lost to the scratch Fox and Pelican in the semi-final, and BIG overcame the Firefighters, going on to lose to the young Fox side in the final.

The female firefighters were edged out by Grayshott Ladies in the battle for the wooden spoon.

Trophies were presented by club chairman Paul Roberts.

All entrants had a great day out despite the weather. Thanks go to the army of helpers who made the day run smoothly.
