HEADLEY'S teams had mixed fortunes in Three Counties League.
The yellow team were successful in Division 2, but the green team suffered a severe setback in Division 3.
The yellow team were involved in an absolute thriller against Milford B at Mill Lane.
The triple of P Osland, D Weston and S Burrows had
made sure of the match points but the other two rinks were only settled on the final end.
On one the Milford skip drew a fine last wood to steal a point and John Robinault tied his game to hold half a point for Headley.
It meant that two shots had made the difference between Headley gaining the full five points and the 3½ achieved, but they kept their position at the head of the league.
The green team's headlong gallop with a so-far perfect record came to a crashing halt at Petersfield.
Only the typical gritty determination of Paul Berry's trio prevented a complete humiliation and they gained a consolation half point.
