County Div 4N, at Mottisfont - Mottisfont 216-5, Petersfield 196-8: Petersfield had another opportunity to secure a win but allowed the pressure to release in a 10 over spell after Mottisfont were in disarray at 25-3 after nine overs.
Nigel Barnes (58) accelerated the scoring at 7.5 an over before Chris Wood (0-29) put the brakes on for Petersfield. Richard Martin (1-31) and under-15 player Oscar Windebank (2-36) opened the bowling. Lennon Gumbe on his debut had Barnes caught in
the covers.
Collins was patiently building his innings and supported by Godwin, he put on a 102 partnership reaching his century and remaining not out.
Petersfield lost Chris Wood early before Dave Muggeridge (20) and Nick Nolan (51) pushed the score along.
Ash Spencer joined Nolan and together they took the score to 111-2 after 28 overs.
Slade struck with wickets in successive balls. Nolan mistimed a pull and Morrison was bowled. Davenport (31no) joined Spencer with six an over needed to win but Spencer was out for a good 53.

Petersfield recorded their second victory in as many games with a comprehensive win over Odiham and Greywell on Saturday.
Petersfield batted first and after seeing off McGlaughlin, Patten (30) and Chris Wheeler took the attack to the bowlers.
Wheeler (88) was joined by Phil Stuart (51) and their partnership saw 145 runs.
The orders for the rest of the batsmen were to get Petersfield to 220, and this was done thanks to Sam Rushmer's 11 from four balls and Marcus Sampson's six from three deliveries.
Petersfield lost six wickets in the last three overs.
Opening bowler Dan Smith took the wicket of Spreadborough with the score on one. Allan Brooks bettered this with a wicket maiden to start. First change bowler Patten bowled eight overs going for just 2-15.
The real star was Will Jameson with his first five-wicket haul; finishing with 5-28. Strong performances in the field saw Christie Salmon take two catches and Marcus Sampson one.
