POLICE are warning East Hampshire residents to beware as yet another fraud scam is reported.
East Hampshire Police Community Support Officer Tobey Mason said: “There has been an incident in the area where a resident has been called by someone claiming to work for a ’Government Agency.’
“The fraudster asked the call taker to buy some ’vouchers’ which when collected from an individual working for this ’Government Agency’ would entitle the call taker to a lot more money in return.
“This is a well known scam, but if you have any calls that you suspect are potential scams please call the police on 101.”
