A MAN has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Horndean where a dog was stolen.

The incident happened at around 5.55pm on Tuesday, August 3 in Stonechat Road.

A 13-year-old boy was walking his dog when he was approached by an unknown man who asked the dog’s name.

The dog was then forcefully taken. The suspects made off in a blue car.

The boy was uninjured and the dog later returned.

This week, on Tuesday, October 19, police confirmed a 36-year-old man from Paulsgrove was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.

A 17-year-old boy from Portsmouth was previously arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail.
