A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a van and carried on its bonnet during an incident in Horndean.
Police said the incident happened between 9.10pm and 10pm on Friday, April 17, between the now closed Gale & Co brewery and the Fuller’s distribution centre.
It was reported that a dark-coloured van collided with a man in his 40s, who was carried on the bonnet for a short distance before falling into the road.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
The van then left the scene and was reported to have been driven dangerously on surrounding roads and roundabouts.
A 40-year-old man from Emsworth has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving. He has been released on bail with conditions until July 17 while enquiries continue.
Police said the parties involved are known to each other.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen the incident or the manner of driving, or who has dashcam footage, to come forward.
