THE RENOWNED Milland bonfire and fireworks returns on Saturday (November6) with its biggest and best display yet.
This long-standing event organised on behalf of the parish council by a team of village volunteers is famed for its family friendly atmosphere.
Committee member John Collier said: “We want to give everybody in Milland and the surrounding area a reason to come and party for the first time in almost two years and put the Covid misery behind them.”
There will also be children’s competitions, and a hog roast, mulled wine, real ale, cider and plenty of cakes and sweets at display in Milland, just four miles from Petersfield.
Milland Stores will be selling hot dogs as well as tea, coffee and general provisions.
The fun all kicks off when the gates open at 6pm on the Recreation Ground off Iping Road, and the bonfire is lit, with the firework display starting about 7.30pm.
Tickets will be available on the gate but you can gain fast track entry by buying them in advance from either Milland Stores or The Rising Sun. They cost £5 per adult, £3 for children under 16 and under sixes get in for free. Discounted family tickets are also available at £15.
