BRITISH Transport Police (BTP) detectives are appealing for witnesses after a van was struck by a train at the Princes Bridge level crossing in Liss.

Detective Constable Matthew Bevan said: “A train struck a Ford Transit flatbed van on the crossing. Fortunately nobody was injured, but this was a serious incident. We need anyone with information to contact us so we can establish a clearer picture of what happened.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference SSUB/B5 of 17/11/15. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
