NOMINATIONS are being sought for this year’s East Hampshire Sports Awards.
The awards are run by East Hampshire District Council and the ceremony will be hosted by Olympic 400m silver medallist Roger Black at the Old Thorns Hotel in Liphook on March 26.
There are junior and senior categories for the best sportsperson, disability sportsperson and team, a best school team award, senior awards for best coach, best club and service to sport, and volunteer and outstanding personal achievement awards open to all.
Deputy council leader Cllr Julie Butler, the community and integration portfolio holder, said: “The awards night is always a fantastic event which celebrates the best of East Hampshire sporting achievement and endeavour.
“If you know someone that deserves an award, make sure they don’t miss out.”
