East Hampshire bin collections to shift over Christmas and New YearSupported by grants from East Hampshire District Council and Petersfield Town Council, Petersfield Climate Action Network sold 570 trees for gardens across East Hampshire this year. In the last two winters 380 fruit trees had been planted in Petersfield, making a total of 950 trees in the project so far.
The trees would usually cost more than £30 plus delivery, but thanks to funding were available for £15, including a stake and tie. Recipients were “thrilled” with their trees and could not wait to plant them and watch them grow.
