PETERSFIELD Comedy Club starts its 2018 season this coming Monday, at the Folly Upstairs.
This is the club’s 17-year anniversary at The Folly, and in October the club will celebrate its 20-year anniversary in the town.
Not a bad run for something that was only supposed to run twice back in 1998. The MC for the night is well known at the club, but for humorous reasons this is being kept quiet for the moment.
Opening act Sally Anne Hayward combines the things you shouldn’t like about your best friend’s mother with the sensibilities of Jack the Ripper. Sally is an accomplished radio presenter with stage and television acting credentials – Absolutely Fabulous, Why the Long Faces, and warm-up for Deal or No Deal.
The middle act is Stefano Paolini, with his mixture of stand-up comedy, characters, impressions and beat-boxing.
Closing the show is comedian and writer Pierre Hollins whose first book, The Karma Farmers, was published in early 2017.
Tickets are £6 in advance from the Folly Bar or £7 on the door. The show starts at 8.30pm.
