LAUGH out loud poetry delivered with real presence is promised by the award-winning Cynthia Hamilton who is coming to Petersfield.
The guest of Write Angle at The Townhouse tonight (Tuesday) at 7.30pm, she is a comic poet who began performing while at university in Liverpool.
She became the Allcomers Slam Champion at the Cheltenham Festival of Literature and went on to appear on the BBC and Channel 4.
Her poems have been published by Poetry Review and The Penguin Book of New Black Writing in Britain, among other publications, and she’s been on the bill with the likes of spoken word icon John Cooper Clarke.

Critics enthuse that she’s “naturally funny”, has a “brilliant stage presence” and writes about things that touch us all.
Anyone wanting to take to the open mic with music or poetry is very welcome to do so on the night.
