SUPERHEROES swooped into town for Children in Need.

Bearing platefuls of cakes, Ironman, Wonder Woman, Cat Woman, Superman and Clint Eastwood and pals, aka staff from Zone Marketing in Bedford Road, popped into businesses and shops collecting for the charity.

There were big heroes too cycling through town last Wednesday on the BBC Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge. Puffed out after the climb up Ramshill, One Show presenter Matt Baker, Pudsey, and six special young people, were making the week-long 470-mile journey from Land’s End to London, raising cash along the way. Pudsey gave hugs to supporters before the group cycled on to Sheet and Rogate.

Schools across East Hampshire held Children in Need events, including Froxfield Primary School where pupils donned their pyjamas.

At Busy Bee nursery in Petersfield, children baked and sold cakes, making £136.
