AN AMATEUR drama company is rehearsing in the theatre at the end of the pier.
A storms rages and the doors are locked – they are trapped.
Events take a sinister turn when a mysterious, ghostly presence passes across the stage, and when the assistant stage manager falls to a certain death through a trap door, the actors are thrown into disarray.
Their panic increases when one of their number is poisoned and it becomes apparent that a murderer is in their midst – a murderer, it soon transpires, who will not stop until they are all dead.
The intriguing whodunit Curtain Up on Murder, presented by the Phoenix Players in their Bordon theatre, on May 12, 13, 19 and 20, at 7.30pm, has a marvellous twist too.
The production follows the players’ crowd-pleasing Rock ‘n’ Roll is Here to Stay, performed at the Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in autumn 2016.
