Roadworks in the forthcoming week include:

A3 Surrey: Slip road vegetation maintenance

Work to improve road user safety by managing vegetation on northbound slip roads in Surrey takes place this week. The work will be carried out overnight, between 9pm and 6am on various slip roads:

• Monday, October 26: The Hog’s Back entry and Dennis exit slip roads will be closed overnight.

• Tuesday, October 27: The University exit and entry and Stoke entry slip roads will be closed overnight.

• Wednesday, October 28: The Send entry and Burpham exit slip roads will be closed overnight.

• Friday, October 30: The Thursley exit and entry and Shackleford exit and entry slip roads will be closed.

Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the next available junction.

A3 Hindhead Tunnel, Surrey: Routine maintenance

Work to maintain safety through the Hindhead Tunnel will take place this week.

The southbound bore will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, from Monday, October 26 for three nights.

A clearly signed diversion with a 50mph speed limit will be in place via a contraflow in the northbound bore.

Highways England and the emergency services will be carrying out an emergency training exercise overnight, between 10pm and 6am, on Thursday, October 29.

The tunnel will be fully closed and clearly signed diversions will be in place via the A31 and A325.
