A MUSICAL journey through Europe, America and beyond is promised as Kit Hawes and Aaron Catlaw bring the traditional and the international to their Grayshott Folk Club show.
Widely known as the fiddle player and virtuoso guitarist with the popular Bristol-based ensemble Sheelanagig, Kat and Aaron draw on many influences to create unique arrangements of traditional music as well as their own compositions.
Their live show, which comes to Grayshott village hall on Friday, January 20, at 8pm, combines dazzling playing with a fine sense of musicality and showmanship.
They will be performing songs and tunes from their debut album The Fox as they explore the relationship between fiddle, guitar and voice, using the fertile ground of the traditional music of the British Isles as their starting point.
The product of decades of musical experience, the track listing blends self-penned tunes and folk tales, intricately arranged and heart-felt.
Nuala Honan is providing support for the duo.
She return to the folk club to share her thoughtful lyrics which she sings with a powerful voice and impassioned delivery.
